1st Silicon Valley VRC Tournament: Bionic Bruins Beat the Bay
On November 18th, 2023, the Branham High School robotics club hosted our very first VEX robotics tournament! We had 35 teams participate in our mixed middle-high school competition and we offered in person judging. Through the hard work of our club members, advisors, and volunteers, we were able to host this competition, and we hope to host many more in our future.
Worlds 2023 – Dallas, TX
Inspire Award – Arts Division
Described as an award given to a team with outstanding leadership, the Bionic Bruins received their first ever Inspire Award at VEX Worlds 2023 in Dallas, Texas, as first timers to the world wide stage. The Inspire Award, given to one team in each division, came as a pleasant surprise for the robotics team.
Mathworks FollowThePath Simulink Award
The Mathworks FollowThePath Simulink Award was a result of 6374A’s 1st place finish in an online challenge of the same name. The challenge entailed learning and simulating path planning, image processing, and control systems for a drone line follower. Kai Chua’s entry was one of three chosen, earning them a ticket to VEX Worlds 2023.
